Please dear, can you pass me my glasses!

I have been having fun again with "One inch" pictures. This time in cooler colours and I really enjoyed doing them even though they are hard on my eyes! There is something about doing these pictures that is addictive...The textile 'girls' I got the idea from have also made many too.
I have worked on paper and used many different materials...textile paints, ink, yarns, beads, cut-outs, sequins, silk paper, 'diamond' studs, braid, lace paper, tiny beads, rubber stamp which has been embossed and material/paper butterfly embellishments.

The pleasure of handmade cards.

I find card making such fun and I relax while doing them. Yes they are a hobby and not 'serious' art but I find so much pleasure in doing them and in giving them to people.

I have been experimenting with the middle of the card to make them just as beautiful. Here is an example...

...and the outside, with front and back showing at the same time. Notice that I have used one of my inch pictures :-)

One inch pictures and my mandala.

My mandala isn't finished yet but I decided to put a picture of it up so you can see how it is going on, it is at the bottom of this post.
I have been busy playing around with cards and one inch pictures :-)
Here is a picture of these small pictures. I have never worked this small before!

I really enjoyed doing these pictures, they were quite a challenge because of there size. I have started doing cards with these on, if you are interested click onto my Flickr link.I don't know when I will get the mandala finished, it is a process and I need to have time to develope while I am doing it. But you can see a sneek preview here...

I seem to be doing work in red at the moment, with green and yellow. Strange I can't remember working with these colours where red is so dominating before.

Are all artists collectors?

I wish you all a Happy New Year!
I have been away from my blog for quite a while.
I have been back home in England over xmas, if you wish to see pictures from Manchester UK, you are welcome to look up onto my Flickr site.
I am working on a mandala picture at the moment,it is nearly finished and I will show it on my next blog.
One of the first places I get to when I am home is a large

Craft Shop in a nearby town. I really do love this place and
inevitably never go out of this shop without buying some lovely thing that I cannot find in Denmark.
I can use a couple of hours in this shop without
getting bored!

I have been organising all my goodies .... beads, sequins, buttons etc. Oh, how I love collecting. I always seem to find something when I am at a craft shop or a jumble sale etc.
I had these goodies in different boxes, glasses but really needed to get organised.
Today I was out shopping and bingo there were some boxes I could use.
So I have had a few hours enjoying myself.
